Invisalign
Let’s change your smile
Orthodontics refers to the treatment of irregularities in the teeth (especially of alignment and occlusion) and jaws, including the use of braces to straighten miss-alignments. Adults can also be treated, orthodontics is not just for children and teenagers! Ask us for more information, if you’d like to improve your smile.
Invisalign clear aligners
Invisalign can help treat a variety of orthodontic concerns, including teeth which are crooked, crowded or have gaps.
The Invisalign system uses clear aligners which fit over your upper and lower teeth, gently moving them into position. Each set of aligners is made from clear material making them virtually invisible.
Benefits of Invisalign
- Discreet – your new clear aligners will be almost invisible when worn
- Comfortable – every set of aligners is custom-created just for you (and your dentist is on hand to make any further adjustments as needed)
- Removable – your invisible aligners can be removed for easy cleaning and meals – meaning you can eat whatever you like
- Fast-acting – Invisalign aligners can often produce results faster than traditional braces
- Proven – as the world’s leading clear aligner technology, Invisalign has been thoroughly proven in millions of cases worldwide
Maxillo Orthopaedics (mostly children)
The correct starting point should be to address the underlying abnormal skeletal (postural) relationship first, before the dental malocclusion is addressed. A majority of cases can now be treated on a non-extraction basis following this principal, and the subsequent orthodontic therapy is then often limited to 12 months or less. Understanding maxillofacial orthopaedics has become the foundation for modern orthodontics.

“I could not have asked for better treatment, I’m thrilled with the results of my orthodontic treatment at Dental Health For Life. I came to Dr Tromp following a botched NHS brace that I’d had on for 2 1/2 years, yet it’d left me with worse teeth than when I started.
Although my treatment here was the most expensive quote I had, I am glad I decided to go to them. They were so facilitating with appointments, I could always get one that worked for me and there were no ridiculous waiting times between appointments as there had been at the NHS practice where I had my first set. I never cried (during my first set I left every visit upset because of the lack of communication and overall demeanour of the orthodontist). Dr Tromp, Lisa and Amanda explained everything thoroughly to me and I felt in control of my treatment the whole time. They respected my decisions, leaving me to decide how to proceed at each stage of the treatment (for example, I decided I did not want to have gaps filled, so we made sure there were no gaps).
I never felt rushed in appointments. I wish I’d have come here first time round and would highly recommend.”

“I started treatment back in March 2016 and since then I have undergone orthodontic treatment, my amalgam fillings have been replaced, surgery completed, crown and bridge work completed and I have just had a lower denture fitted.
Well, I am more than happy with the results. The work I had was virtually pain free and I cannot fault Dental Health For Life. They accommodated my appointments very well around my working schedule too.
Dr. Tromp and his team have been very professional and friendly although I feel part of the family here! Now, I only have to come here for my 6 monthly check up’s instead of coming regularly. I will miss coming here often!
I am now confident in smiling and showing off my teeth! I am very happy and my treatment was worth every penny! I cannot recommend them enough.”

“Firstly I would like to thank everyone at Dental Health for Life for their work, I’m so pleased with the results. I went to Dr Tromp for orthodontic treatment after a combination of wisdom teeth and bad habits undid the orthodontic work I had done as a teenager.
He explained the options available and what they entailed so I felt I could make an informed decision. After deciding to go ahead, I was referred to a specialist to have my wisdom teeth removed, Dr Tromp and the team proceeded to go ahead with my orthodontics. During the treatment the steps were explained to me so I understood what was going on at each stage, and the team were always friendly and encouraging. This has continued with the aftercare, ensuring that my teeth remain in good condition and bad habits don’t re-emerge! Looking at the before and after photos I can’t believe the difference, and believe I made the right choice going to Dental Heath for Life.”

I recently had my braces removed after 12 months of treatment and I have to say that I am very pleased with the results. The overall experience was great and all the stages of the treatment went well and according to plan. My smile has changed completely.
About July-August last year, I decided to do the orthodontic treatment as I wasn’t happy with my crooked teeth. At the time I was living in Chippenham and based on Google positive reviews, I decided to give Dr. Tromp clinic a visit. So I called and made an appointment.
In my first appointment, Dr. Tromp checked my teeth and his initial assessment was that I had to remove all 4 wisdom teeth to create space (yes there was barely any space for moving teeth around) and I would benefit a lot from an orthodontic treatment as, in addition to a much better smile, I also had some cross-bite issue which in the long term would be problematic.
He also explained the associated cost with removing the wisdom teeth and the orthodontic treatment which I must say it was not cheap and in comparison with nearby practices, it is on the higher side. I was only given rough cost estimate for the orthodontics as Dr Tromp explained that he would need to do some x rays and study and then, he would come up with a quote. The quote would not change at all till the end of the treatment (this was the case actually so no hidden costs). Bear in mind, that the cost is only for the orthodontic treatment so let’s say if later down the line, due to size of teeth, you may have some gaps and if you decide to get your teeth enlarged to fill the gaps, then this would incur additional cost as this is not part of the orthodontic treatment. You need to remember this! For the wisdom teeth, the price was fixed given that there are no root or gum problems etc. Dr. Tromp was clear on this matter. I agreed to do the xrays for the orthodontic study in this visit and that I would remove the wisdom teeth in the 2nd appointment. For my wisdom teeth, the plan was to remove top and bottom on one side on one visit then on the next visit, one week later, I would remove the other ones. This would allow me to eat as the gum takes time to heal when removing wisdom teeth.
On my 2nd and 3rd visits I removed the wisdom teeth. The experience was painless and I barely felt the injections. I also didn’t have any gum or root problems. On my 4th visit, I installed the braces which was also a pleasant journey. It took him couple of hours to install the brackets and the wires. For the past 12 months, I have been visiting Dr. Tromp clinic every 4-6 weeks or so for wire tweaks/changes and towards the last 6-9months, he introduced the pins and elastic bands to move the teeth to the right location. The results started to show after just 3 months into the treatment. I would say only the first two weeks were the hardest as I had to get used to the braces and the way to eat and clean the teeth after every meal. However, it was all worth it!
Dr. Tromp is friendly, skilled and cares about achieving the best results. Towards the end of the treatment he was keen to move the teeth slightly more and not rush to achieve the best outcome. I had to travel for work for 4-6 weeks twice during the treatment and Dr. Tromp was very understanding and managed to work around my work trips. On the last day when my braces were removed, I was so pleased with my smile. I didn’t have any stains due to the brackets and after the final cleaning and polishing, the teeth looked great. I was also happy with the fact that it took exactly 12 months from start to finish so the estimate was accurate and didn’t have to go on with braces for a long time.
I did have two gaps between upper 6 and 7 and upper 10 and 11 so I came back for a final appointment to fill in the gaps in addition to replacing some fills. Dr. Tromp enlarged teeth 7 and 11 and I must say the outcome was perfect, the new size and colour were just brilliant. It cannot be noticed at all and I was amazed. Definitely worth the additional cost I had to pay!
Last but not least, I wanted to dedicate this paragraph to Lisa and Amanda, the dental nurses. They were both friendly, supportive and responsive to my emails and calls. I had couple of times to rearrange my appointments when I was abroad and that was easy to communicate. They are also both experienced when working with Dr. Tromp which made the journey even better.
Overall, the teeth are a long-term investment and for the money spent vs the quality of care I received, it was the right thing to do. Now I have a nice smile and I can eat normally. I am still wearing the retainers which is something that I have to wear for the next 12 month until the teeth are fixed in their new location.
Given the pleasant journey I had, I would recommend Dr Tromp for any dental work, ie tooth extraction or orthodontics. You should be confident that Dr. Tromp will be able to sort out the problem efficiently and with minimal discomfort.
