Veneers
Veneers are thin, custom-made shells crafted of tooth-coloured materials designed to cover the front side of teeth to improve the overall appearance of teeth. They are made of either thin plastic resin or porcelain and can be placed to:
- Correct poorly formed or mildly mal-positioned teeth
- Close gaps between teeth
- Mask internal stains
- Restore partially broken-down teeth
Although tooth preparation is minimal (if any) and where possible confined only to the enamel structure, this treatment is usually an irreversible process even though small amount of enamel is removed to accommodate the thin porcelain/resin shell.

Lindsey
Lindsey confessed: “I tried to save money…!”
Her request: “Please give me back my nice smile.”
Six low-cost veneers were completed abroad about three years before (Lower left hand Column). Excessive recurrent decay was uncovered below the existing veneers, likely because of poor bonding protocols.
Apart from other restorative treatment, four all-ceramic crowns and two veneers were completed.
